I was so excited to get this, the build quality is high, quick assembly, very solid stand. The pictures show walnut stain throughout, but the thickness is light colored (see photos)

I was on the fence about paying this much for a monitor stand. The layered wood feels substantial, though, and the edges are finished really nicely. With my monitor on it, the whole thing feels steady. For something I use every day, I'm happy I spent a little more.
